You’ve heard the nursery rhyme: “Ring around the rosies, pocket full of posies…” right? You know how it goes.

It’s true that we all fall down, like the song says, as we walk in life we make mistakes; some small, and some huge, but the question always is: Will we get back up?

I am reminded of The Fall of Mankind – do you know the story? Adam and Eve live in a perfect world in perfect fellowship with God, till they break the only rule God gave them, eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and that fellowship is broken. Many of us know this as a story of God’s anger at our failures, but it is really a story of the Gospel, and God’s abundant love for us!

“A Call for Healing” is a compilation CD and marketing project brought to you by Quickstar Productions. It is designed to bring together some of America’s best Christian musicians for a common cause, fighting malaria in Uganda, Africa and most importantly spreading the message of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I would like to encourage you in the fact that God not only has, but IS all that you need.  Jesus doesn’t simple know the way, tell the truth, and show you how to live; He IS the way, He is the Truth, and He is the Life.  And God doesn’t just give us light, He IS the light.

If you want to know these things: honesty, justice, purity, loveliness, the admirable, virtue, the praiseworthy – get to know Jesus.  Jesus not only does, but IS all these things – He is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

I’ve been thinking and reading a lot about Abraham, and what the bible has to say about him in the new testament. He lived in tents his whole life, and sought a city with foundations, whos Builder and Maker is God. Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.

These things are the inspiration for my song ‘The Cost.’ I hope the lyrics will bring encouragement of our hope in heaven.
